Rancho Las Palmas Wedding Photography { Brandon & Kaleena }

Located in the Palm Springs area, Rancho Las Palmas was a beautiful setting for this amazing wedding....

I'm a BIG fan of stellar getting ready locations, it makes SUCH a difference and the sweeter the room, the more simply stylish.

This is my favorite, looking at their faces, into their hearts as people describe traits, stories, and their love for each other. Blink and you'll miss it. But peeping through the crowd, to me, it stands out, because these looks are the images I hunt to find.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexio (Album shoot)

A few weeks ago I took my team down to Cabo and we shot Westley, who is one heck of a guitarist. His music immediately captured my attention and when they asked me to shoot their album art for his upcoming debut CD, I was honored. The disk is called "Wavedance". I'll blog it as soon as the mp3's become available online. Its not even in print yet! So we shot at sunrise and sunset for 2 days and got some amazing shots. In between the shoots, I was able to get some fishing, exploring, fish tacos and siestas! I think its been over a year since I've had a siesta. Needless to say, we had an amazing time and came away with a body of work I'm proud of. I want to thank the family for taking such good care of us and putting us up in their sweet pacific ocean view home.

This image below was the hands down winner for the cover.

Paso Robles Meridian Vineyards Wedding Shoot { Nick & Heather }

I've been looking forward to this wedding for a while. When I 1st met Nick & Heather, I loved how they were such a sweet couple. They knew what they wanted however, and that was an amazing wedding designed by Laura Robertson of TOS Events, and to have it captured in an amazing way.

They got ready at the Hampton Inn in Paso Robles, where we shot some casual shots of them prepping and preparing. Id rate the fun factor at about a 10.

This is where it gets cool, while the rest of the girls were getting ready, we got a head start and went out to another one of my favorite wineries Zenaida Cellars. They have so much variety and sweet places to shoot.

Corinne from Panacea Flowers created the amazing floral colors and style that elegantly graced the day.

Set in the middle of the vineyard, they met for the 1st time. Then below they took a few grapes and we had some fun. This time of year, they taste really good!

While the rest of their friends mingled in the background, Nick & Heather started to flirt and have fun.

I loved shooting with the dads and guys while we waited for the ceremony to begin, they were fun.

I overheard this cross was from her mom's house, and with the communion cup, on the barrel, overlooking the lake and sunset, only visible from knee view, which is my 3rd favorite position to shoot in.

Sara & Thomas

Meet Thomas & Sara. She is from Shanghai, China, super cool, laid back, and fun. Thanks to her work she met the love of her life. Enter Thomas, a brilliant Computer Engineer from Germany with an equally fun personality, and smile. They flew out here to exchange nuptials at the midway point, but also near some cool locations that they loved. I was honored when they asked me to capture the day before and their wedding day. When we planned the itinerary for the day, I wanted to get some of the coolest locations that they wanted, and cram them in the same day. 100% worth it!!

We headed out from Vegas to Death Valley, driving hours to get out there by sunrise. Sara was a champ and started getting ready with her hair at 2am! Vast is the view, and we were all alone with some of the coolest locations!

The perks of cool locations, lonely roads allow for some sweet backdrops. One biker did give us a very evil look, but he didn't get it. He didn't see what I was seeing here.

After that we headed up to the mountains, to 8,000 feet to get some more variety and some of these fall shots.

Red Rocks is 30 minutes outside Vegas, and a stellar spot. Location scouting took us to some of the best spots in the desert of America.

The following day after our monstrous travel day shooting all over, Thomas and Sara got their license at the City Hall, proud and in love.

TJ & Shannon (Part 2)

TJ & Shannon came up to the Central Coast and we had a great time shooting here today, we did a morning session and an evening session. I could do these shoots forever. We had no script really and just did random things and had a good time. The 1st session we shot in San Diego earlier this summer. They met me at Derek & Heathers wedding last year. I'm so amped for fall shoots, bring them on! We hit up the local Pumpkin patch and had some fun.

Lake Tahoe Wedding Photography { Alton & Colleen }

Right after we shot Jake & Necia's wedding, we drove all night up to Lake Tahoe to cover Alton & Colleen, Bay Area locals, and Tahoe lovers. We collaborated with the wedding coordinator, Blue Sky Events. They got married at Lakeland Village, which is crazy, because my parents used to own a place up there when I was young and so this felt like my old stomping grounds. Everything seems much smaller now, since its been quite a while since we vacationed there regularly.

The day was perfect, not to hot, great hazy clouds earlier in the day, and as night came, it still was a bit warm like summer. The whole family and friends were so sweet. 2 years ago we shot Eli & Erica's wedding at tahoe and they were here at this wedding!
