Holland Ranch Wedding Shoot { Brian & Amber }

I'm so amped to have worked with this cool couple, and also finally getting to work at Holland Ranch! I had several couples at the Holland Ranch, but I was booked, When I first met Brian & Amber, I was excited, there are couples that I connect with and its a blessing to continue the relationship and stoke them out of their minds for the images that define who they are as a couple. Its like I get to partner up and brand each couple with who they are. This day was a swell, warm, fun day out at the Ranch.

They had a simple wedding with no grooms or brides attendants, and everyone stood, which was super cool and nice. Their grandma gave a wonderful speech that I loved. Brian had hand made with his friends some home-brew beer, Amber Ale, naming it after his bride. Word is that Brian spent many hours laboring to create this for his wedding day.

While I was shooting them throughout our relationship, it was cool how they loved each other and were patient with each other. When couples hold each other in high esteem, even on big days where there can be pressure or lots of things going on, you know thats a good test of their character and as I'm looking through the lens and see nothing but patient love, and genuine care with a servants heart, you know they have the foundation of an amazing marriage.

Dana Powers House, Wedding Shoot { Jake & Necia } [the beautiful wedding...]

OK, so on Friday, Jake, my good friend, and his lovely fiance, (now bride) whom I think are one of the cutest, sweetest and genuine couple. I was honored when they asked me to photograph their wedding. Back in 2006/2007, I had the honor of having him join of our team, and since he has blossomed into an artist, photographer, but more importantly, someone who I respect and enjoy hanging out with. So we had much fun capturing his wedding.

This body of work is the product of amazing planning by Necia, & plenty of time during a sweet summer day to capture creative, candid, real moments during the day of two young people getting married.

Jake & his guys were fun, real, and it was cool to watch themselves come out and really have a good time. Now forever captured on film are who they are. Something that they will be proud of.

Meanwhile, Necia was out at the Bluebird Salon, where "Brooke" did her hair. Then off to the Cliffs, getting ready! Rachel shot this of her shoes.

Then we headed over to the Sanitarium Spa(the sweetest bed & breakfast) and shot some cool shots in front of the house. Jake was "packing heat" with his retro 8mm video camera, passing it around the guys for some cool candid video clips.

Finally, we headed over to the Dana Powers House.

Necia, is such a beautiful bride, she was having so much fun with her bridesmaids.

This is what I love, when Brides & Grooms, love to do something different, its a boldness for creativity, exploring artistic additions and flare. Capturing this in a way that is "them" is what I love. I could do this for the rest of my life, as long as God allows me to.

With only a few minutes before the ceremony, I saw this shot and grabbed it.

Climbing up to the top floors of the house, looking through the windows, this is my view. I thrive off the shots that are never taken before. I love firsts. Firsts make great full page spreads in albums and magazine covers.

What a proud couple, proud of their marriage, and what lies ahead. Corinne from Panacea Flowers did her floral design.

I love their genuine smiles and how happy they are. I wish the wedding was 10 hours longer! So much to shoot, and so many good times and good people to hang out with, capture, to tell the story of the day.

Jake, an amazing wedding photographer himself, did not need to be directed, he has his cool style already. Check out the two of them!

Always in love, always esteeming each other and treating each other with the highest regard. That makes for such great shots like this.

As the sun set, I wished this evening could last forever, the light was SOOOO good.

I love the suspenders, the blue tie, they looked so good!

We used the canvas and couch from their e-session for this shot.

At the end of the night, in the middle of the Orange orchard, we got this parting shot. Then it was on to the rest of the festivities of the night. Melissa Kramer from Kramer DJ's did the music, and lighting for their event. Stunning as usual.

If I can do this for the rest of my life, I would. I would love to bless couples with images that would give them the pride of their first love. So that they, their family, friends, and the world would look back at their wedding and see the style of a budding couple in a way that would capture the legacy of the day they chose to became one, for the rest of their lives.

Malibu Wedding Shoot { Scott & Lauren }

Scott and Lauren are one of the most mellow laid back couples ever. Their wedding was hot that day, and I had JUST got my new tilt shift that had been ordered a few weeks back and I forgot about it. That lens is super hard to get used to shooting, but I do love it! Lauren was in love with the carousel, which I thought was super cool. I powered it up and the rickety thing actually worked! Thanks to Angie & Ashleigh for helping me that day!

San Ramon Bridges Golf Course Wedding Shoot { Mark & Kristina }

A few weeks ago we photographed a wedding over at the Bridges Golf Course in Danville Ca. We LOVE shooting here, right near where I grew up!

The Flowers were by Eunice from Pairs and Pieces.

Marc & Kristina were a fun couple and had some style, I think this image is a sweet image of how cool they are!

Carmel Highlands Inn Wedding Shoot { Chris & Tina }

Arriving in Carmel-by-the-Sea always is a pleasant site. I'm addicted to shooting here. Its back to back weddings this week at the Highlands. One of the Hyatt Hotels most beautiful spots in my opinion. We worked with the amazing staff there, as well as Crystal Lequang of Amazae Special Events. The light, the colors, and the people were all perfect.
