Costa Rica Wedding Shoot { Mikel & Jen }

We just rolled to our rental house in from an amazing wedding down here in Manual Antonio, Costa Rica! Mikel & Jen were such a blessing to serve. We had a great time with them. Hopefully I'll get a chance to write more, but for now, as I call it a night, here are some of my fav's out of 11,500 images from the 2 day event!

Reno & Christina

I had a blast shooting and felt like i ventured out into new territory with this shoot. I always strive to continue to get different images and bring out the personality of each couple I work with. That was no different this week. We had such a fun time at the beach shooting these yesterday. The story of their wedding was very similar to ours. They wanted a Hawaii wedding, and ended up having it here in CA, then they chose a beach wedding on the same beach as we did. They are getting married on the same beach we shot these images at. Reno & Christina both own their own businesses here in town. Their wedding is tomorrow and I can’t wait!

remembering saturday

I usually shoot a wedding every Saturday, so having a day off like this on Saturday matching with my friends days off is really super fun. we went out into our garden and got the freshest ingredients and I made my favorite salsa. I absolutely love making salsa and have a passion for growing everything myself. Call me a health nut, but you cant beat organic freshness and the flavor is amazing! We headed out to a surf spot that is protected from the wind and picks up some south waves, they were small today, but fun, and I packed my longboard and bbq grill,. And the girls brought the rest of the food and horseshoes. We had a great day and stayed out till the sun went down. I am so thankful for the few Saturdays that I have off, even though I LOVE shooting weddings, these days are a treat when they come. Today we all race in the San Luis Obispo Triathlon. Wish us luck! Tomorrow we have a wedding at the Montage in Laguna. I am really looking forward to working with them on their wedding day!

Here is my recipie for my salsa

Nothing beats a game of horseshoes on the beach!
