Avila, CA Wedding Shoot { Danielle and Patrick }

Danielle & Pat, what a couple. They looked great today. Their sweet friend Ron, an amazing dentist had an exotic selection of classic and new cards. We picked our fav's, the retro classics and shot with them. I was a kid in a candy store, I could have spent all day shooting. But they would have missed their ceremony and that would not have been very swell. The girls had a blast in the Pink Caddy.

Pat had a good group of guys, they were up for some creativity and fun. So we decided to do some Matrix style fighing moves. Pretty easy to choreograph, Pat had the guys jealous over this move. I was impressed as well. Nice job Pat. (this is straight out of the camera, no photoshop)

Shot this with a fisheye, but this 57 Corvette was in pristine condition. Nothin' like driving restored old cars for fun before your wedding.

Later we headed over to Scyamore and shot some of the group. This is a favorite spot of P&D.

I love how Pat made Danielle laugh. I think that is something every guy loves. To make his woman laugh. This could be a barometer of your marriage. Its so simple but when your having fun, life gets a bit more simple and regardless of the ups and downs, when you can have a good time, it says a lot about your resilience to be positive, and uplifting to other around you.

I jumped into the back of the "birdsnest" seat and snapped a few of these shots. It was so much fun back there.

Keone & Anna

Ok, this is my favorite wedding I have done so far. Nestled in the foothills of the Sierras, this wedding was amazing and had such a blessing of friends, familiy, history, legacy and a divine presence in. Starting back over 2.5 years ago, in early 2005 when Anna 1st met me at a bridal faire, later I find out that she loved my work (which is a HUGE honor) and wanting to have me photograph her wedding was a priority for her. So when she contacted me and told me the story, I felt indebt and excited to work wiith her, despite the fact that there were a few other pending interests in that same date. I told them it was taken and told Anna that My wife and I were STOKED to be working with them. So after meeting a few times to do some e-session shoots, and meeting up a at a few weddings of their friends who worked with us as well, we got to know them pretty well! So when the wedding came around, and Keone asked me to play golf with him the morning of, well you can guess how honored and stoked i was!

So here is the best of the best, from tonights images, I will be gone for a week in Yosemite, but i wanted to post some of my favs. Thanks to everyone who was there, and shared so many feelings. Have a great weekend and stay in touch!

Thanks again Keone & Anna

Tuscan Wedding, Siena Italy...

Ok, so many people have been asking, and I finally got home after 2 weeks of travels, 17,000 miles and countless hotels. It was a GREAT trip and every part of it was a blessing, thanks to my amazing wife who makes travel so grand. Here is the highlights from the wedding we did.

Meet Christy & JP, they are a beautiful couple who live in San Diego and honored us by inviting us to photograph their amazing wedding. Located in the wine country, in the Tuscan region. We stayed at an amazing winery called Villa Catignano. The best way to describe this area is Renaissance meets Napa Valley.. Every part of the week we were there was enchanting and I felt like i was back in 1700's (but with a camera). It was a blessing to capture this amazing week, so much went on. The people, family, the emotion, the stories that were hidden in the hearts and conversations that happened during the day.

Documenting the whole story was such a treat. Everything was timeless, the food was luxurious and amazing, the music was elegant. The pride and legacy of the family shown through the faces of the parents were beaming out for the whole group to see. There were about 60 guests attending and stayin at the villa. Here are some of my fav's plus a little show it slide show...
