As you saw from a post a few weeks ago, Byron & Candice had one of my favorite casual portrait sessions, and I was excited to be to shooting their wedding a few weeks later! They got ready at the St Regis – Monarch Beach and we did quite a bit of shooting there. I love that place. Then we headed off to their reception at the Seven Degrees in Laguna Beach. They had 18 bridesmaids and 11 groomsmen. I think this was a record for me. I’ve never seen more than this! They had a beautiful Jewish Ceremony and an extremely energetic dancing session after the teary-eyed speeches. I was quite impressed by the speaking and words spoken. I’ve seen a lot. Congrats guys and I hope your honeymoon was amazing. Enjoy…

A perfect fit for Kurt & Heather. We recently shot their casual portrait lifestyle session. The food was by the amazing Trumpet Vine Catering. Floral was by April Flowers. Got You Covered did all the rentals and The Photobooth Experience Rocked out ALL NIGHT LONG with a line of people waiting to sign the guest sign in book!

San Diego Engagement Shoot | Devin & Erica
Wednesday, November 3, 2010
A few weeks ago we shot a super fun shoot of Devin & Erica. This one is from a ranch in the mountains above San Diego. Erica has her own photography business. This is one of my favorite outdoor shoots. We hit up their friends ranch about 90 minutes away from downtown. A thunderstorm was above, so it was humid with occasional showers. The alpine desert was a sweet place to shoot! So check it out.
Still Waters Vineyard Wedding | David & Rachel
Wednesday, October 20, 2010
On a warm summer day, with thunderstorms and tropical heat from a storm the broke off of Baja California, This wedding day and evening reception was one of my favorites this year. As always, I’m honored to work with Mark Padgett Event Design who coordinated another flawless event! Kramer entertainment & lighting did the ligt & sound, while Flowers by Denise did the floral decor. The location for the day was at Still Waters Vineyard, in the heart of the Central Coast wine country. Rachel & David, who chose to get married here are from Arizona and loved this venue for its serenity. You can see why! Rachel is relaxed and was so excited to be married. David, also calm and collected, has a great sense of humor and was enjoyable to capture on film. Their whole family was wonderful. Their style was reflected in all the things Mark put together for this event. I love it when couples style is so original and comes out in their event in every detail and every way. I know your going to enjoy this one.
I love the tan jackets, with teal/yellow ties. A very nice choice.
They designed a sweet Chuppah with elegant floral and wood decor. With the vineyard as a backdrop and lighting off in the distance during the ceremony, this was a sweet sunset ceremony.
As I was walking to the ceremony, i snagged this bottom right show of the unharvested grain fields, vineyards, and blue sky in the background. I am sure Mark planned the yellow table cloths to match the sky at this hour. With an intimate garden setting among ancient oak trees, the reception had a tranquil and alluring feel to it.
What a clincher to the evening, I had set up my tripod to capture this shot, it took over 300 shots to get this one. What a night.
The party went until the night faded and sprinkles of rain came. All in all this was a stellar event that I was honored to there to capture! Congrats David & Rachel!
Novato, California Wedding | Drew & Cassie
Tuesday, October 12, 2010
Drew Montel and Cassie Rowland’s wedding was a celebration in the truest sense. All their friends and family gathered to support this great couple. It was a pleasure and honor to get to be there to capture their day for them. The whole event was at Cassie’s families vineyard, Pacheco Winery which was a great backdrop and I love it when couples get to use venues that are significant in their lives. Pacheco Ranch was given to her great great grandfather in the mid 1800′s as a land grant for working down south. It was around 60,000 acres and encompassed much of the marin peninsula back in the day. Over the years the land was split with each inheritance and now is down to 67 acres. Much of the land was given as open space/hiking trails years ago. So we found some sweet places to shoot in the hills and in the vineyards. Thanks again Drew and Cassie and congratulations!!
You gotta remember what time you got married at. Drew on the right, with nothin’ less than style & class.
I want a street sign of my last name!
Thanks guys for an amazing night. Your family, friends are such wonderful people!
